The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is excited to announce a new Car Repair Program for local residents. This program is designed to assist individuals who are enrolled in career training, employed, or newly hired needing essential car repairs.

The Car Repair Program is funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and aims to remove transportation barriers for hardworking residents pursuing career advancement.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled in career training, employed, or newly hired

  • Meet income guidelines: at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines limit

  • Must complete all Eligibility Packet and provide documentation as required

 

Program Benefits:

  • Up to $2,500 in funding for car repairs (per person)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Enrolled in career training, employed, or newly hired

  • Meet income guidelines: at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines limit

  • Must complete all Eligibility Packet and provide documentation as required

*PLEASE NOTE*

You MUST provide all of the Required Documents listed above for your application to be processed. Applications are handled on a

first-come-first-serve basis (once all documents have been submitted).

 

The standard waiting time for processing is two weeks (once all documents have been received). We appreciate your understanding.

  • The OhioMeansJobs Career Profile and Practice WorkKeys

    • See the link below to complete​

  • Proof of Income -OR- SNAP Benefits

    • (past 6-months paystubs for all eligible members of the household)

  • Copy of Driver's License

  • Copy of Social Security Card -OR- Birth Certificate

  • Proof of Residence (utility bill, etc)

  • Copy of Car's Registration -OR- Title

  • Proof of Auto Insurance

  • THREE Quotes from Mechanics/Garages

    • (on official letterhead from business)

    • (Quote must be for the same repairs, tires, etc)
